The Chronicles - March 2026

Service. Fellowship. Momentum.

March was a vibrant and full month marked by Rotaract Week, Women’s Month, a holy season, and a strong spirit of service across the globe and within our club.

We joined the wider Rotaract fraternity in celebrating World Rotaract Week, which climaxed with the Rotaract Festival. At De’stadia, in collaboration with the Friday clubs, we commemorated the week with a joint fellowship focused on digital health among young people. This also doubled as a market day, bringing together young professionals and entrepreneurs to showcase their businesses, a true reflection of our commitment to professional and leadership development.

We also marked International Women’s Day with a special celebration honouring the incredible women in our club.

A major highlight of the month was our annual Interact Symposium at St. Julian SS Gayaza. The energy was incredible as hundreds of young people engaged in mentorship sessions covering mental wellness, career growth, and so much more.

March was rich with activity across the board. From a buddy group hospitality hosted by PECE, to an international maths quiz with the Rotaract Club of Parleshwar Gen-Z, the month reflected both connection and collaboration.

We also held a successful TRF fundraiser, raising over $1,000 towards the Rotary Foundation, and joined the wider Rotary family for the Run for the Nile in Jinja.

Our members showed up across various initiatives — from supporting RAC Entebbe Airport’s pool fest fundraiser, to celebrating Eid together at a special wind-down get-together at Kyadondo. We also partnered with the district on the Healthy Mum, Healthy Families project in Namayumba, and proudly signed a twin agreement with the Rotaract Club of Parleshwar Gen-Z.

In youth service, we made great progress with the chartering of the Interact Club of St. Julian Seeta Campus, with all documentation now submitted to Rotary International.

We are grateful to still be going strong in service and are excited for what April holds — particularly our outreach to Kireka Home of Special Needs and celebrating service at the 101st DISCON.

March at De’stadia

The De’stadia Annual Interact Symposium

Our Interact Symposium happened on 7th March, and it was truly one of a kind. With over 10 schools in attendance, the day brought together hundreds of young people for meaningful engagement and learning.

We held crucial conversations around mental wellness and career readiness, while also celebrating the spirit of Interact service across secondary schools. The energy, participation, and openness from the students made the experience both impactful and inspiring.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the schools that took part, with special recognition to St. Julian High School, Gayaza for hosting.

We are also deeply grateful to our sponsors, Centenary Bank, Sumz, Hariss International, NBS TV, AfroMobile, and School Pay, whose support made this event possible.

Together, we continue to empower the next generation of leaders.

Upcoming Events

In the spirit of sharing the joy and hope of Easter, we will be at Kireka Home for Children with Special Needs, spending time with the children and giving back in meaningful ways.

This outreach is a reminder that sometimes the greatest impact lies in simple acts showing up, sharing joy, and creating moments of belonging for those who need it most.

We warmly invite you to join us on this special day as we come together to make a difference.

We are also still receiving donations, both in cash and in kind, to support this outreach. Your contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in putting smiles on the faces of these children.

Let’s share the joy of Easter, together.

From 16th to 18th April, all roads lead to Entebbe for the 101st District Conference, a celebration of service alongside the entire Rotary District 9213 fraternity.

With over 10 delegates, De’stadia will be proudly represented as we join fellow Rotarians and Rotaractors for a weekend of fellowship, learning, and inspiration. We look forward to bringing back the fruits of these shared experiences to further strengthen our impact at home.

Entebbe is calling, and we are ready to represent.

Club Member Spotlight

In this space, we spotlight and celebrate our members who’ve made major strides in service, with notable achievements worth celebrating

Emmanuel Oluma

This month, we celebrate our International Service Director, Emmanuel Oluma, for his outstanding contribution to strengthening the club’s global outlook.

Emma has been instrumental in driving international collaborations that continue to elevate De’stadia’s presence and perspective. Most notably, his tireless efforts led to the formalisation of our partnership with the Rotaract Club of Parleshwar Gen-Z in India through a twin agreement — ensuring a strong, mutually beneficial, and sustainable relationship.

His dedication to building meaningful global connections is truly commendable.

Join Us in Making a Difference!

At the Rotaract Club of Bweyogerere Namboole, we are committed to creating lasting change in our community. Every initiative we take is fueled by the generosity of people like you.

This month, we’re rallying support to continue building an A’level block at St. Herman’s SS Lwankoni—the only secondary school in the Lwankoni sub-county, Kyotera District. Each year, over 100 students risk dropping out after O’level because the nearest alternative schools are too far to reach.
